This workshop seeks to equip participants with accounting background to appreciate the financial reporting requirements with regards to the applications of currency swaps in risk management.

Learning objectives

At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to: 

  • measure FX risk exposures for corporates 
  • apply currency swaps in FX risk management practices 
  • compute pricing and valuation for currency swaps (plain vanilla) 
  • comply with the reporting requirement for hedge accounting 
  • demonstrate the Highly Effective Test (HET) for the qualifications for hedge accounting
