Understanding banking products and structures - Workshop 2018

Banks are now offering a wide varieties of banking products, some of which might not be fitted with our own requirements. Nature and usage of those banking products are not clear. Banking products will be systematically outlined and introduced.

There are a lot of difficulties when approvals are to be sought from banks for right banking products. Preparatory works have been proposed for making in advance in order to clear such difficulties. Once approvals of related banking products have been obtained, terms and conditions within the bank’s Offer Letter are not easy to understand. Explanations on terms and conditions will be made.

Trainer profile:

S Chan is an experienced senior credit and marketing professional with over 40-year banking experience specialising in marketing and lending activities from structuring bilateral trade and loan facilities to arranging syndicated loans. He worked as different senior roles at front and back offices with leading international banks in HK, including but not limited to National Westminster Bank, ING Bank and China Construction Bank. His last bank job was credit approver with China Construction Bank. Mr. Chan also worked in HK publicly-listed company, looking after corporate treasury management. S Chan graduated as Master Degree of Applied Finance in Macquarie University, Australia in 2000. He is also Member of HKSI, ACIB and AHKIB.
