Description
The Public Practice program is both practical and outcome oriented and has been designed to help set your business up for success. It is offered as either a two day face to face workshop or a five part virtual classroom series. The workshop will take you through the My Firm. My Future. Framework (MFMF) and enable you to develop a Future Focus Plan. You will also have the opportunity to learn from experienced public practitioners who facilitate the workshop and develop a network of contacts as you embark on this next step in your career journey.
The Public Practice program offers interactive, facilitator led learning to provide you with the optimal learning experience.
The program delivers four main objectives:
- to introduce members to the MFMF
- to understand and articulate the fundamentals of the four “Enablers” of the MFMF
- to apply strategies to address the strategic “Drivers” of the MFMF
- to develop a Future Focus Plan that will support the development of a successful business.
The program is designed to assist you in attaining the skills, knowledge and professional approach required for a successful career in public practice.
This comprehensive program requires considerable input from you as a participant. We recognise that you have already undertaken a major study program and many examinations to attain your professional qualifications. Accordingly, the course is structured to allow you to gain the knowledge that is most important for you.
Learning objectives
The learning objectives associated with the workshop as are follows:
- Explain and identify all parts of the CPA Australia Public Practice Framework
- Articulate the fundamentals of the four enablers of the Public Practice Framework – Culture, Strategy, Communication and Technology, and identify strategies relevant to a public practice firm
- Apply strategies to address the six drivers of the Public Practice Framework – People & Learning, Service Offering, Governance, Compliance, Marketing and Practice Management to a public practice firm.
- Develop a Future Focus Plan that will enable the member to run a successful Public Practice firm in the future.
Audience
The target audience for this workshop are existing CPA members who are eligible and want to become Public Practitioners.
