Overview

HKEx has a statutory duty to ensure an orderly informed and fair market. Accordingly, HKEx reviews the Listing Rules from time to time to ensure that the Listing Rules are up-to-date and reflect the market expectations in Hong Kong and internationally. This workshop aims to give you’re an update on the changes to qualifications of listing in Hong Kong under the Securities and Futures Ordinance of Hong Kong.

  • Changes to (i) GEM of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (HKEx) and (ii) Qualifications of Listing on the Main Board and GEM of the HKEx in mid-February 2018

Trainer profile:

Seaman Kwok, Executive Director and Head, Corporate Secretarial of Boardroom Corporate Services (HK) Limited and Director of Boardroom Share Registrars (HK) Limited

Seaman has over 30 years' extensive legal, corporate secretarial and management experience gained from working as company secretary and directors of reputable companies overseas and in Hong Kong (including the Hang Seng Index Constituent and Hang Seng Mid-Cap 50 stock companies). He is an independent non-executive director of a company listed on the HKEx.

A Chartered Secretary, a professional accountant and a member of The Hong Kong Institute of Directors, Mr. Kwok holds a bachelor's degree of arts and a post-graduate diploma in laws and has passed the Common Professional Examinations in England and Wales. He was a chief examiner and the longest-serving council member of The Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries and was named in the "International WHO'S WHO of Professionals" in 1999. He has been influential in making the regulators in Hong Kong (including the HKEx) review and amend the Listing Rules in many aspects since the mid-2000s.
