Overview
Today every organisation needs extensive business insights and Power BI will put the power in your hands. Power BI gives Excel users the capacity to draw on large amounts of information out of multiple sources, link it all together and then perform calculations on the data so it can then be sliced and diced any way you want. This highly interactive course is focused on techniques which utilise the valuable capabilities of Power BI as a reporting and data visualisation tool.
This workshop covers the core elements needed to get an understanding of how Power BI can help take the myriad of linked spreadsheets and Access databases and move them into Power BI - a program which has the capacity to crunch millions of records to quickly summarise and report on key trends and business insights.
Key topics:
- Use Power BI to extract and shape data
- Build a Power BI Model from scratch
- Write DAX formulas and set up interactive reports.
A range of Excel formula is available in the DAX language and the course will explore the relationship and practical uses of the DAX language.
This a hands-on workshop – you will walk away with practical skills you can reuse in your organisation.
Get real-time insights and deploy faster than other BI tools available. Power BI is open source and highly intuitive. This workshop will prepare you for changing analytical roles and help you grow your career.
