The (FNS40815) Certificate IV in finance and Mortgage Broking online course provides the essential skills required to operate as a finance and mortgage broker. The course includes an overview of the industry, legislation, products and services, plus teaches the operational skills required to manage a successful and compliant business.
When you have completed this course you will understand:
- How to prepare and present loan applications
- Strategies on how to present broking options to clients
- Managing legislative and code of practice obligations.

Depending on level of experience, you should expect to spend up to 10 hours a week reading notes, completing the learning activities, preparing for the exams and doing the assignments.
There are no pre-requisites for this course
This course has two assessment tasks:
- A online open book examination
- An assignment
You may attempt an exam and/or submit your assignment at any time before the conclusion of a subject if you think you are adequately prepared.
There is a 12-week enrolment period to complete the assessment requirements for the (FNS40815) Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking. The first sit of an exam and the first submission of an assignment must be completed before the end of the 12-week enrolment period.
Additional time is available should you be required to re-submit an assignment and/or resit an examination.

Delivery
This program is delivered online via My Online Learning (MYOL). All learning materials and assessment tasks will be provided via MYOL. There are no hard copy materials for this program – all resources are available via PDF and can be downloaded directly from MYOL.
